MEETING OF THE ELK RIVER PARK & RECREATION COMMISSION HELD AT THE ELK RIVER CITY HALL WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 13, 1993 Members Present: Chair Dave Anderson, Commissioners Dalieden, Dana Anderson and Lipetzky (7:20 p.m.) Members Absent: Commissioners Rolfe Anderson, O'Brien, St. Dennis and Olson Staff Present: Phil Hals, Street/Park Superintendent Also Present: Iraj Ezati 1. Call Meeting To Order Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River Park & Recreation Commission was called to order at 7:07 p.m. by Chair Anderson. Due to a lack the meeting being taken. of a quorum, the members present decided to proceed with and share the information presented with no formal actions 2. Consider 10/13/93 Park and Recreation Commission Agenda The Commission reviewed the agenda and added Item 11.c., Tennis Courts. 3. Consider 9/15/93 City Council Minutes Since there was no quorum present, the 9/15/93 minutes will be presented for approval at the November Park and Recreation Commission meeting. 4. Open Mike Iraj Ezati was present and stated that he is interested in park and recreation issues in general and the Civic Center proposal specifically. 6. Discuss Proposed Civic Center Commissioner Dana Anderson explained that this proposal is for a twelve month per year hockey arena with the possibility of selling excess ice time. Commissioner Dana Anderson has been to one Community Center Committee meeting and led the group discussion. After the Park and Recreation Commissioners shared comments on the proposal as presented, it was decided that Commissioner Dana Anderson would update the Park and Recreation Commission on future news from the Community Center Committee. The item will be an update on future agendas.
