<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Park & Recreation Commission Meeting <br />August 18, 1993 <br /> <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />7. <br /> <br />Information on MnDOT Park and Ride for West Highway 10 - Phil Hals <br /> <br />Phil Hals explained that MnDOT is <br />Park-n-Ride facility on West Highway 10 <br />locations near Orono Park. <br /> <br />interested in <br />and indicated <br /> <br />constructing a <br />three possible <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Park and Recreation Commission that a <br />Park-n-Ride not be located on city park land on or near Orono Park. <br />Phil Hals .was directed to convey that message to MnDOT and suggest that <br />they approach the Fair Board and Sherburne County for possible sites. <br /> <br />8. Purchase of a Park Tractor Using Park Equipment Funds <br /> <br />Phil Hals explained the need for a tractor for the Street/Park <br />Department and that the funds to purchase it would come from the Park <br />Equipment Reserve Fund. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER OLSON MOVED TO RECOMMEND THE PURCHASE OF A PARK TRACTOR TO <br />THE CITY COUNCIL USING PARK EQUIPMENT FUNDS. COMMISSIONER DALEIDEN <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />9. <br /> <br />Staff Updates <br /> <br />Phil Hals stated that the main park project that has been under <br />construction so far this year has been the retaining walls and ramps <br />for the new fishing pier location. <br /> <br />Phil Hals indicated that the equipment has been <br />A.D.A. requirements for two playground units. <br />projects will be completed by mid September. <br /> <br />delivered to meet <br />The remaining park <br /> <br />10.
