THE MOTION CARRIED 6-0.

7. Moldenhauer Plat Concept Review

Pat Klaers, City Administrator, explained that the Moldenhauer plat was
a concept drawing only at this time and that the developer was planning
to develop this area in phases.

Pat Klaers also displayed a copy of the Heritage Landing preliminary
plat to show how the two areas were interconnected. Phil Hals
explained the trail dedication and extra right-of-way on 180th Street
for trails in the Heritage Landing plat.

After some discussion, it was the consensus of the Park and Recreation
Commissioners to recommend to the developer that:

1. The trail on the eastern boundary of Heritage Landing should be
continued from its southern end into the Moldenhauer plat and
connect with the most southerly street (Riverview Drive?).

2. The street right-of-way on the most southerly street should be
widened to 70' to permit the trail to parallel that street
(Riverview Drive extention?).

3. The developer dedicate at least three acres of property for park
purposes near 180th Street on the west side of the plat.

It was noted that the Commission will have the opportunity to further
review the park dedication requirements for this plat after the
Planning Commission has had the public hearing on the proposal.

8. City Hall Site

After a brief discussion, it was the consensus of the Commission that
the landscaping at the new City Hall and the Orono Lake trail should
proceed as planned, but that the other facilities for this area should
wait until at least 1994 or until such time when funding to build
additional facilities becomes available.

9.

American Legion Flags at Lion's Park
