• There will be a public hearing after the commission meeting for our Wellhead Protection
Plan (WHP) at 5:00 p.m. in our main office conference room. We appreciate commissioners
being in attendance for this public hearing as we require a quorum to conduct it.
Robyn Hoerr, a groundwater specialist from the MN Rural Water Association, will provide
the highlights of the WHP plan including the main groundwater protection issues, general
strategy of ERMU moving forward in their WHP implementation, and our next steps in the
WHP plan approval process. She will discuss our responsibility to implement the various
action measures over the 10-year life of the plan and the availability of grants, offered by
MDH, as an opportunity for financial support in implementing the measures.
• The public summary of the March 2023 MMPA Board of Directors meeting is below:
• The Board of Directors of the Minnesota Municipal Power Agency met on March 28,
2023, at Chaska City Hall in Chaska, Minnesota and via videoconference. Commissioner
Stewart and I were in attendance.
• The Board reviewed the Agency's financial and operating performance for February
2023.
• Customer penetration for the residential Clean Energy Choice program increased to
4.5%. There was an increase of 62 customers participating in the residential Clean
Energy Choice program from January to February.
• The Board discussed the current business environment.
• The Board discussed the status of renewable projects the Agency is pursuing.
210
