Project Manual <br />Houlton Conservation Area Bank Stabilization — Dam Site <br />ARTICLE 2— SITE CONDITIONS AND MAINTENANCE <br />2.01 Utilities <br />A. Notify Gopher State One Call before starting construction in a given area requesting utility <br />locates in the Site: <br />1. Engineer has requested information at time of construction document preparation on <br />existing private utilities via design locate request through the Gopher State One Call <br />Program. <br />2. The original version of the information supplied by the utilities is available for viewing <br />at the office of the Engineer. <br />B. Known information regarding the private utilities is depicted on the Drawings and <br />information supplied by utility companies can be viewed at the office of the Engineer by <br />request. <br />C. Project Utility Sources: Coordinate Work with the following utility owners: <br />1. City of Elk River Public Works 763-635-1120 <br />2. Gopher State One Call 651-454-0002 <br />D. Owner requires a 48-hour notice for all utility interruptions. <br />E. Coordinate the relocation or protection of all existing facilities, including any that are not <br />shown on the plans prior to performing any excavations. Any costs for such Work shall be <br />the responsibility of the Contractor. <br />F. The Contractor shall remove all utility flags upon project completion, as directed by the <br />Engineer. <br />2.02 Maintenance of Traffic <br />A. All traffic control devices shall conform and be installed in accordance to: <br />1. the "Minnesota Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices" (MN MUTCD); <br />2. Part 6, "Field Manual for Temporary Traffic Control Zone Layouts" (Field Manual); <br />3. the Speed Limits in Work Zones Guideline; <br />4. the Minnesota Flagging Handbook; <br />5. the Minnesota Standard Signs Manual; <br />6. the Traffic Engineering Manual; and <br />7. the MnDOT Standard Signs and Markings Manual; <br />B. The Contractor shall furnish, install, maintain, and remove all traffic control devices required <br />to provide safe movement of vehicular traffic through the Project during the life of the <br />Contract from the start of Contract operations to the completion thereof. The Engineer will <br />have the right to modify the requirements for traffic control as deemed necessary due to <br />existing field conditions. <br />Division 01 Section 01 01 00-4 <br />General Requirements General Requirements <br />
