Motion carries 6-0.

6.4 Approve High School Game Contract

Superintendent Tim Dalton reviews the contract highlighting in the past the facility
kept the first $900 of the game ticket sales, and any additional sales above that were
split 50/50 with the district. The contract presented changes the revenue kept by the
facility to the first $1400 before the 50/50 split. In addition, the FTCenter is
providing fewer staff to service the games, at an anticipated savings of approximately
$7,000/year.

Commissioner Cunningham notes the ice rates and contracts need to be done by
early summer next year so they can levee to lease for the fees. He adds the doors on
the north end of the rinks can be locked to keep patrons from sneaking in. He
requests signs be put up on the doors reminding people to pay before entering the
game, and that the MN Squatch information in the lobby be moved during boys
games as they are a direct competitor.

City Administrator Cal Portner notes the MN Squatch items can be put in the office.

Commissioner Cunningham also asks about a window covering to keep guests in the
lobby from being able to watch high school games without paying.

Portner suggests the Commission start a running list of improvements they would
like to see, i.e.
o Sound deadening curtains for the upper lobby
o Hard court for the fieldhouse
o Suction cup equipment for taking out the glass in the rinks.
o Steps to allow guests to utilize the Cornerstone dry floor.

He suggests contacting the V.F.W. as they are looking for opportunities to financially
assist the community.

Motion by Commissioner Walker and seconded by Commissioner Gulden to
approve the High School Game Contract.
