Multipurpose Facility Advisory Commission Page 2
12/12/2022
-----------------------------
5. Discussion Items

5.1 Hockey History Display

Superintendent Tim Dalton notes both he and City Administrator Cal Portner have
items that were donated with the caveat that they would be on display at the
FTCenter, so he is coming to the MPFAC to ask for suggestions on where they
should be located.

Portner adds the City Building fund would pay for shadowboxes to be
commissioned if that was how the Commission would like to handle it.

6:37 p.m. – Commissioner Cunningham arrives – MPFAC now has a quorum.

Vice Chair Peterson notes his understanding was hockey related items would be kept
in the rinks.

Dalton states the trophy cases in the Cornerstone Arena, while offered to youth
hockey, are currently empty and most of the items could fit in one of them.

Consensus by Commission to put items in one of the trophy cases located on the
west side of the Cornerstone Automotive Arena at least temporarily until such time
that a dedicated display may be constructed.

6. Action Items

6.1 Approve 2023 Meeting Dates

Motion made by Vice Chair Jake Peterson and seconded by Commissioner
Loidolt to approve the 2023 meeting dates. Motion carries 6-0.

City Administrator Cal Portner notes he will be going to the City Council to see if
Mike Cunningham could become the district liaison, but a non-voting member since
his schedule often conflicts with meeting dates.

Commissioner Cunningham states he does not have an issue with that change being
made.

6.2 Approve Commission Bylaws

Motion made by Commissioner Gulden and seconded by Commissioner
Walker to approve the Multipurpose Facility Advisory Committee bylaws.
Motion carries 6-0.

6.3 Approve High School Practice Ice Contract
