Presentation City Engineer Terry Maurer went through the attached PowerPoint presentation regarding the proposed reconstruction and assessment of Dodge Avenue. C. Questions/Answers/Comments Q Josh Benson of NASCAR Lube asked for further definition of the assessment amount and how the payment would work. A. Terry Maurer explained the payment method and collection through the County with the payments being due with real estates taxes. Q Russ Nohra asked if there would be sidewalk continued all the way down to 5th Street. A. Yes, the section would look exactly the same as the north part of Dodge Avenue with concrete curb and gutter and a sidewalk on the east side. C. Gary Santwire indicated that he had spoken with Lynn Caswell of John Oliver & Associates and although he could not make it to tonight's meeting, he was interested in having the road reconstructed and especially interested in having the sidewalk continued down to 5th Street. Q Josh Benson asked about business operations during construction activities. A. Terry indicated that there would be no difficulty keeping customer traffic able to access all of the businesses. The only difficult time will be when the concrete curb and gutter and sidewalk is poured due to the set up time of 3 to 5 days for the concrete. Businesses with only one driveway would have that driveway poured in two pieces so that customers could access at all times. Businesses with more than one access would have one poured and then the other. Q Russ Nohra asked what he needed to do to ensure that the project would move forward.
