A reference on Minnesota noise statutes <br />A document A Guide to Noise Control was originally issued by the Minnesota <br />Pollution Agency in the 1990s and has been revised several times. The <br />document includes the following sections: <br />1.Noise rules in Minnesota <br />2.Basics of how sound works <br />3.Measurement procedures <br />4.Minnesota noise pollution statutes and rules <br />Another less widely used statue that has been used to assess noise is MERA <br />("Minnesota Environmental Rights Act") <br />CHAPTER 116D. ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY <br />Minnesota Statute 116B.02 Subd. 4. "Natural resources" shall include, but not be limited to, all <br />mineral, animal, botanical, air, water, land, timber, soil, quietude, recreational and historical <br />resources. Scenic and esthetic resources shall also be considered natural resources when owned <br />by any governmental unit or agency. <br />
