UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br />TO:FROM: <br />ERMU Commission Chris Sumstad– Electric Superintendent <br />MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />October 11, 20226.1h <br />SUBJECT: <br />Staff Update <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />None <br />DISCUSSION: <br /> Installed 10 new residential services, which involves the connection of a secondary line <br />once the customer requests service. <br />th <br /> The Naples Street and 186 Avenue underground install is nearing completion. The <br />customersare transferred onto the new underground service with only the removal of <br />the overhead lines remaining. <br /> Joe Schmidt from Minnesota Municipal Utilities Association (MMUA) was here on <br />September 29 and held safety meetings on Hazardous Energy Control. He also held <br />makeup First Aid/CPR sessions for anyone who missed previously. <br /> <br /> We moved inventory out of the lower shop and into the new field services building. <br />Many members of the field staff pitched in and helped inventory staff complete this <br />task. <br /> <br />Crews installed 1,500 feet of single phase underground for a new service on the <br />rd <br />northeast side of Elk River near Monroe Street and 223 Avenue. <br /> <br /> Matt Zipp, Blaine Snyder, and I attended the MMUA Overhead School held in Marshall <br />September 13-16. <br /> <br />st <br /> Crews replaced a streetlight pole that was struck by a vehiclenear Polk Street and 201 <br />Avenue. <br /> <br /> Crews worked at the Cargill Complex installing 600 feet of three phase underground <br />primary and installed the transformer for the service to the new lab building. <br /> <br />______________________________________________________________________________ <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />103 <br /> <br />
