Multipurpose Facility Advisory Commission Page 3 <br />9/12/2022 <br />----------------------------- <br />Dalton also adds there is discussion about youth hockey contributing to rubber <br />flooring on the north end of both rinks, which is not included in the contract. <br /> <br />The consensus of the group was to strike point #4 off the contract, and approve a <br />$230/hour (with the purchase of 1900) hours for two years. <br /> <br />ERFSC Contract <br />Commissioner Kara Walker states the Elk River Figure Skating Club hasn’t had a <br />board meeting to discuss rates since the last MPFAC meeting. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Commission to continue to keep the rates at $220/hour for prime <br />and $175/non-prime for the ERFSC. <br /> <br />Spectrum Contract <br />The contract for Spectrum High School reflects a $240/hour rate plus a $100/hour <br />game fee. In addition, Spectrum will handle all aspects of their games. <br /> <br /> Elk River High School Contract <br />Facility Superintendent Tim Dalton shared financial numbers from last year, <br />regarding Elk River High School Hockey Games. He has contacted the high school <br />to inform them they will need to cover the operating costs of their games at the <br />facility going forward. In previous years, the facility has absorbed those costs. He has <br />reach out to the high school to see how they would like to handle this but has not <br />heard back. <br /> <br />The commissioners were in agreement that the high school should be responsible for <br />their operating costs on game nights going forward. <br /> <br />MN Squatch Contract <br />Facility Superintendent Tim Dalton notes the MN Squatch contract had been signed <br />previously. The worksheet presented outlined a few points of needed revision. <br /> <br />Commissioner Mike Westgaard asks if the rate for the Squatch office rental was <br />determined by the amount of square feet. <br /> <br />Consensus by Commission to proceed with MN Squatch contract. <br /> 6.2 Format Standing Agenda Responsibilities Chart <br /> <br /> Vice Chair Peterson asks to include we review policies annually, possibly in <br /> December and then approve them in January. <br /> <br />City Administrator Cal Portner notes the MPFAC will not always need monthly <br />meetings, it was just initially set up that way to get established. <br /> <br /> Consensus by group to schedule meetings every other month instead. <br /> <br />7.
