HIGHWAY 10 CORRIDOR STUDY - FINAL REPORT Stakeholder and Public Engagement Round 2 To gather feedback on the long-term corridor alternatives for Highway 10, the study team facilitated a variety of public and stakeholder activities as discussed below. Technical Advisory Board Meeting The second Technical Advisory Board (TAB) meeting was held in May 2021. The primary goal of the meeting was to discuss the public engagement feedback received to date, review the long-term alternatives and preliminary evaluation, and gather consensus on the long-term vision for the Highway 10 corridor. The presentation and meeting summary from TAB meeting 2 is in Append&A. The outcome from the TAB meeting was consensus for the long-term vision for Highway 10 to be grade -separated. Focus Group Meetings The second round of virtual focus group meetings were held in May and June 2021. There were separate meetings held with representatives from the local business community, representatives from the freight hauler community, and local elected officials. Each meeting included a brief presentation followed by an open discussion with attendees. The goal of each meeting was to gather feedback on each group's preference for the long-term vision for Highway 10. Detailed feedback received is in AppendixA. There were three businesses represented at the focus group meeting, the study team learned the following: Maintaining business access on/off Highway 10 and across Highway 10 is important. There was consensus for the long-term vision for Highway 10 to be grade- separated. Minimizing business impacts during implementation will be important. There were four freight haulers represented at the focus group meeting, the study team learned the following: Primary concerns were access on/off Highway 10 and safety.
