• Each group must checkout of the room at the end of its event/meeting. A use report <br />will be filled out by a staff member at that time. Comments regarding the facilities are <br />encouraged. <br />Prohibited Uses <br />• No gambling, games of chance, bingo, casinos, or wagering of any kind maybe apart of <br />an activity conducted in these rooms. <br />• The rooms may not be used for purely social purposes such as parties. <br />• Items may not be attached to walls or the ceiling, and no items are to be left in the <br />room after the event is over. <br />• Community and study rooms are not intended for commercial use. Commercial <br />activities are prohibited. There will be no collection of admission fees or tuition, sales of <br />products or services or other direct fund raising activities. <br />• Alcoholic beverages may not be served or consumed on library property. <br />• The building and grounds are smoke-free. <br />• The contact person must comply with all city ordinances, Minnesota state statutes, <br />federal laws, and these established rules. <br />Elk River police will be called if a room is used for illegal purposes. <br />Reservation Requests <br />Rooms are available for use from 10:30am until 30 minutes before closing. Meetings must end <br />on time so the room can be cleared before building closing time. The rooms are not available <br />on observed holidays, or when the library is otherwise closed. <br />• Reservation requests cannot be for more than two months in advance, and must be at <br />least three days prior to the date requested. <br />• Reservations cannot be made for more than three events per month. <br />• All are eligible. The Elk River Public Library does not set eligibility requirements for use <br />of community or study rooms. <br />• Rooms can be reserved online or by telephone: griver.org/locations/elk-river/rooms or <br />(763) 441-1641. <br />• Name, contact information, and address must be provided on the reservation form. Any <br />questions about the reservation will be forwarded to the contact person. <br />■ The contact person must indicate, on the reservation form, the number of people <br />expected to attend the event/meeting. The library staff reserves the right to move the <br />group if another group needs to reserve a larger or smaller room. <br />
