My greatest
moments in my child hood and early adult life came from ERX. It's where 100s of young aspiring
athletes get a chance to do what they love. These spots are few and far between now days. You
take away this facility, you are striping not just individual people of fun and an active way to stay
healthy and put a lot of money into the community. But whole families and generations of
families as that goes. I myself have a two year old boy and another on the way. My dream is to
watch them race at ERX one day in the future. I don't know if any of you are familiar with what it
takes to race at a high level in the sport of snocross. I can first hand tell you these boys and
girls out there racing are doing it for the complete love and obsession with getting better. You
take that outlet away that lets kids strive to be better, teach them about sacrifice, teach them
what hard work can do for them, basic mechanical knowledge, and family time. You make it very
hard to change the problem this country already has with young, lazy, disrespectful kids. ERX is
a place where iron sharpens iron, where battles are won, and most importantly where battles are
lost. It's not a soft quite place for the weak and frail minded and never should be. It's a place
that teaches toughness, relentlessness, and sportsmanship. All while doing things normal
people don't have the guts to do. This is America. Home of the strong, fast, loud and proud. I
hope it stays that way for years to come.
