<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Planning Commision Minutes <br />6/24/86 <br /> <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER TEMPLE MOVED TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL AN ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING SECTION 1008.18 "DEDICATION OF LAND OR CONTRIBUTION OF CASH FOR <br />PUBLIC PURPOSES" TO READ AS PROPOSED IN THE BUILDING AND ZONING <br />ADMINISTRATOR'S MEMO WITH THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION CONTINGENT UPON THE CITY <br />ATTORNEY"S RECOMMENDING WHETHER THE PROPOSED WORDAGE NEEDS TO BE CHANGED FROM <br />EITHER BE TEN PERCENT (10%) OF THE RAW LAND VALUE OR $100 PER DWELLING UNIT. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER FUCHS SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 6-0. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER WILSON MOVED TO RECOMMEND FROM THE PLANNING COMMISSION THAT A <br />RESOLUTION BE DRAFTED THAT THE PARK DEDICATION NOT BE COLLECTED ON COMMERCIAL <br />AND INDUSTRIAL PLATS AS A GENERAL RULE AND ALSO THAT PARK DEDICATION BE PAID <br />FOR ALL BUILDINGS IN A GROUPING OF PRINCIPAL BUILDINGS ON A SINGLE LOT. <br />COMMISSIONER BARRETT SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 6-0. <br /> <br />9. Consideration of Ordinance Amendment-Accessory Use Setback/P.H. <br /> <br />The Building and Zoning Administrator indicated that this ordinance amendment <br />was requested by Estelle Gunkel and we are proposing to amend it to state a <br />minimum of 300 feet for the setback. <br /> <br />Chairman Tralle opened the public hearing. <br />opposition of the request. <br /> <br />No one appeared for or in <br /> <br />Chairman Tralle closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />Discussion was held regarding metal skinned buildings and it was the <br />consensus of the Planning Commissioner they would like to see this deleted <br />from the ordinance. <br /> <br />COMMISSIOENR FUCHS MOVED TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL AN ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING SECTION 900.18 TO ALLOW A SETBACK OF 300 FEET FROM ANY NEIGHBORING <br />RESIDENCE OR PLATTED AREA ALSO METAL CONSTRUCTION/EXTERIORS BE DELETED AS <br />DRAFTED BY STAFF. COMMISSIONER WARNER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />PASSED 6-0. <br /> <br />10. Consideration of Preliminary Plat Review for Rail 10 Subdivision/P.H. <br /> <br />The Building and Zoning Administrator reviewed the concerns and comments <br />outlined in his memo. He further indicated that Terry Maurer, City Engineer <br />will be reviewing the drainage of this plat. <br /> <br />The gas company easement overlapping the road easement was discussed. The Build- <br />ing & Zoning Administrator indicated that the easement for the road is all that <br />can overlap with the easement for the gas company. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER FUCHS MOVED TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL TO APPROVE THE PRE- <br />LIMINARY PLAT FOR RAIL 10 SUBDIVISION CONTINGENT UPON THE CONDITIONS OUTLINED <br />IN THE BUILDING & ZONING ADMINISTRATOR'S MEMO. COMMISSIONER WILSON SECONDED <br />THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 6-0. <br />
