Variance Request by Terry McLean/Public Hearing <br /> <br />Chairman Wilson introduced this item. He stated that Mr. & Mrs. Joan <br />McLean of 18054 Union Sreet NW, are requesting a 10 ft. encroachment on <br />the 20 ft. side yard setback required in a R-1B/non-sewered single family <br />zone to build an addition to their existing house that would run full <br />length of their home and extend out from the house the same distance as <br />an existing deck. <br /> <br />Stephen Rohlf, the Building & Zoning Administrator noted that a variance <br />for the setback to the river is not needed. The proposed addition would <br />not extend any closer to the river than a line drawn between adjacent <br />structures. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER TEMPLE MOVED TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL APPROVAL OF <br />THE VARIANCE REQUEST BY MR. & MRS. TERRY MCLEAN FOR A 10 FT. ENCROACHMENT <br />ON THE 20 FT. SIDE YARD SETBACK REQUIRED IN A R-1B/NON-SEWERED SINGLE <br />FAMILY ZONE FOR AN ADDITION. COMMISSIONER KROPUENSKE SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 6-0. <br /> <br />8. THEREFORE. SHOULD BE ALLOWED AS AN ASSESSORY USE FOR THE FEED <br />BUSINESS. COMMISSIONER FUCHS SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 6- <br />O. <br /> <br />9. Determination of Use by Franklin Sign Ordinance <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Planning Commission that they would like to <br />table this item until such time that the sign ordinance is completed. <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />Conditional Use Permit by Kenneth Nord (Used Cars)/P.H. (Tabled) <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER KIMBALL MOVED TO TABLE THIS INDEFINITELY UNTIL MR. NORD <br />BRINGS IN PLANS OF WANT HE WANTS TO DO. COMMISSIONER BARRETT SECONDED <br />THE THE MOTION PASSED 6-0. <br />
