THE MOTION PASSED 5-0. <br /> <br />Concept Review by Gary Santwire <br /> <br />Gary Santwire was present to explain to the Planning Commission his <br />proposed use for Lot 1 thru 6. Block 4. Barrington Place PUD. Santwire <br />suggested that Block 4 be rezoned to commercial property. The proposed <br />uses are a three screen movie theater. a furniture store. and additional <br />rental space. The proposed building size is 35.000 to 40.000 square feet <br />and have a parking lot of approximately 350 spaces. <br /> <br />Discussion was held regarding access to and from the property. <br />Commissioner Morton shared his concern that Auburn Place. which abutts <br />the property in question. is generally residential. He would like to be <br />sure that access to the property and facility be by way of Dodge Avenue <br />rather than Auburn. P1antings and berming were mentioned as a buffer. <br />The discussion continued on such items as signage. theatre operation <br />hours. and residential versus commercial. <br /> <br />Commissioner <br />proposing on <br />appearance. <br /> <br />Kropuenske questioned the apartments that Santwire is also <br />the property. His question pertained to density and <br /> <br />Acting Chairman Fuchs stated that the City Engineer will be asked to <br />check the drainage and the City must consider the additional traffic load <br />on Dodge Avenue. <br /> <br />1S.
