Call 11/6/89 EDA Meeting <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that the Council had previously <br />approved the TIF #6 Plan. however. due to a recent law change which <br />calls for a map to be included in the public hearing notice. the public <br />hearing must be reheld. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DOBEL MOVED TO CALL A MEETING OF THE EDA ON NOVEMBER 6. <br />1989 AT 7:00 P.M. TO BE HELD AT THE ELK RIVER PUBLIC LIBRARY PRIOR TO <br />THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING TO HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING FOR TAX INCREMENT <br />FINANCING PLAN 16. COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />5.3. Discussion on True Value Conditional Use Permit <br /> <br />Steve Rohlf. Building and Zoning Administrator. stated that the owner of <br />True Value Hardware was unable to make a presentation at this City <br />Council meeting regarding the extension of his conditional use permit. <br />Steve Rohlf further indicated that the owner is requesting permission to <br />set another meeting date with the City Council. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Council to allow the owner of True Value to <br />present his reasons for the need of an extension to his conditional use <br />permit at the November 6. City Council meeting. <br /> <br />( <br /> <br />5.4. <br /> <br />Discussion on Clean-up of ReM Fire Site <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Steve Rohlf. Building and Zoning Administrator. stated that the City <br />Attorney has prepared a Court Order for the clean-up of the ReM <br />International fire site located at 15536 Cleveland Street in Elk River. <br />Mr. Rohlf stated that he has expressed to the owner of ReM that the City <br />must act in this manner due to the safety issues involved and informed <br />the owner that the Court Order allowed him 20 days in which to clean-up <br />the site prior to action being taken the City. Steve Rohlf indicated <br />that he would like permission to inspect the property prior to <br />presenting the owner with the Court Order so as to determine whether <br />progress has been made regarding clean up of the site. He indicated <br />that if this is the case. then he would prefer not to present the Court <br />Order. However. if the site has not shown any evidence of clean up. <br />the Court Order would be delivered to the owner. <br /> <br />Mayor Tralle concurred with the Building and Zoning Administrator. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DOBEL MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 89-64. A RESOLUTION OF <br />COURT ORDER FOR THE CLEAN-UP OF ReM INTERNATIONAL FIRE SITE. <br />COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />5.5 Fire Department Update <br /> <br />Russ Anderson. Fire Chief. stated that the contractors have requested a <br />time extension on the completion of the Fire Station. He indicated that <br />they may need another three or four weeks to complete the project. Mr. <br />
