Si te Plan Review by Elk River Shoppinli! Center (Represented by LHB <br />En~ineers & Architects) to Allow a Take-Out Restaurant and Office Soace <br />in the Elk River Mall. <br /> <br />Steve Rohlf, Building and Zoning Administrator, stated that the owners <br />of the mall wish to split one of the mall spaces into two spaces. The <br />proposed change would include a Little Caesar's Pizza Parlor and an <br />office. Staff is recommending approval of the request as the proposed <br />uses are consistent with the amendments to the PUD agreement. <br /> <br />Jack Sheedy was present representing the Elk River mall owners and <br />stated that this was more of an economic decision rather than a zoning <br />issue. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER EBERLEY MOVED TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL APPROVAL OF <br />THE SITE PLAN FOR THE ELK RIVER MALL WHICH WOULD INCLUDE A LITTLE <br />CAESAR'S PIZZA PARLOR AND AN OFFICE. COMMISSIONER SPOTTS SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />Commissioner Schroeder arrived at this time. <br /> <br />7.5 Mission Statement Update <br /> <br />Item 7.5 was discussed next because the applicant had not yet arrived <br />for Item 6. Chairman Johnson explained the rationale behind the <br />Mission Statement. She stated that this was a need reciprocated by the <br />Ci ty Council to better help the Planning Commission and City Council <br />work together. It was the general consensus of the Planning Commission <br />that with the City Council's approval they would like to incorporate <br />the Mission Statement in with their operating procedures. <br /> <br />********************* <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />Site Plan Review by R. E. P. Ltd (Represented by Gary Santwire) for an <br />Addition to the Retail/Office Building Located at 650 Dodfle Avenue <br /> <br />Steve Rohlf, Building & Zoning Administrator, stated that a new si te <br />plan has been submitted by Gary Santwire (representing R. E. P. Ltd.) <br />which proposes a four car garage on the east side of the building. A <br />new updated site plan was also distributed to the Planning Commission <br />members. Mr. Rohlf stated he was in favor of the new garage addition <br />because of the illegal use of the dumpsters in the area. Mr. Rohlf <br />felt that the garage addition would be a good place to keep the <br />dumpsters out of site and secure. <br />
