THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />7. <br /> <br />Consider Zone <br />Foundation/P.H. <br /> <br />Change <br /> <br />Request (R-4 to PUD) By Guardian Angels <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Janelle szklarski, Zoning Assistant, explained that Guardian Angels is <br />requesting that their property be rezoned from R-4/Multifamily <br />Residential to PUD/Planned Unit Development to accommodate the future <br />expansion, and to consolidate this facility with their present campus <br />facilities as one PUD. The applicants are requesting a Planned Unit <br />Development because this would give them flexibility which is needed in <br />providing senior housing. She further stated that there would be no <br />change to the underlying land use. Staff is recommending approval of <br />the zone change as it is consistent with the intent of the Growth <br />Management Plan and also meets the demands for senior housing. <br /> <br />Vice Chair Eberley opened the public hearing. No one appeared for or <br />against the request, Vice Chair Eberley closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />Commissioner spotts questioned the use of the PUD and felt that this <br />warranted some further discussion as he felt that the PUD was being <br />used to get around some of the regulations in the City code.
