THE MOTION CARRIED 5-2. <br />COMMISSIONERS DILLON AND SULLIVAN OPPOSED. <br /> <br />Commissioner Sullivan stated that she voted against the motion as she is in <br />agreement with the language proposed by the Steering Committee. <br />Commissioner Dillon stated he is opposed to clustering. <br /> <br />VI. COMMERCIAL PLAN <br /> <br />Commissioner Minton proposed the following changes: <br /> <br />_ Under "Future Plan" mention that the Steering Committee adopted the Task <br />Force Plan in full. <br /> <br />_ mention should be made regarding upgrading the commercial standards along <br />East Highway 10 as a "Policy". <br /> <br />_ Under Goal No.4, add a policy "explore the possibility of a residential and <br />commercial mix in the downtown. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER THOMPSON MOVED TO RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF SECTION VI. - <br />COMMERCIAL PLAN, WITH THE CHANGES PROPOSED BY COMMISSIONER MINTON <br />MENTIONED ABOVE. COMMISSIONER SULLIVAN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> <br />VI. INDUSTRIAL PLAN <br /> <br />The Planning Commission and staff discussed whether or not the intent was to <br />rezone the area at County Road 12 and 13 Business Park or Light Industrial. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER KREGER MOVED TO RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF SECTION VI. - <br />INDUSTRIAL PLAN, WITH THE FOLLOWING ADDITION: <br /> <br />GOAL NO.1, POLICY NO.1 BE CHANGED TO READ, "ENCOURAGE CLUSTERING OF <br />INDUSTRIAL OPERATIONS ALONG THE CITY'S MAJOR ROADWAYS." <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER THOMPSON SECONDED THE MOTION.
