Stat. §§609.342, 609.3453, or 609.352), or stalking (as <br />Eligible employees are limited to using a maximum of 160 hours of sick time in any 12- <br />month period for a Safety Leave or for a Sick Family Member Leave resulting from the <br />-in-law, <br />stepparent, grandparent, or grandchild. <br />Sick time under this policy must be used in the same manner as the employee would use <br />the sick time for his/her own illness. <br />Please note that, if an employee is also eligible for FMLA leave to care for a sick family <br />member, FMLA leave and Minnesota sick leave time will run concurrently. <br />53. SCHOOL ACTIVITIES LEAVE POLICY <br />Employees who have worked at least one-half time during the preceding twelve months <br />are entitled to up to 16 hours leave during any 12-month period to attend school <br />conferences or classroom activities cannot be scheduled during non-work hours. If an <br />-kindergarten regular or <br />special education program, the employee may use the leave time to attend a conference, or <br />program, provided the conference, activity or observation cannot be scheduled during <br />non-work hours. <br />When the need for leave under this section is foreseeable, the employee must provide <br />reasonable prior notice of the leave to his or her immediate supervisor and make a <br />reasonable effort to schedule the leave so as not to unduly disrupt Utilities business. <br />Regular paid sick leave may not be used for purposes of this school activities leave. <br />54. BONE MARROW AND ORGAN DONATION LEAVE <br />Employees who work an average of twenty (20) or more hours per week who seek to <br />undergo a medical procedure to donate bone marrow or an organ or partial organ will be <br />granted up to forty (40) hours of paid leave. Regular sick leave need not be used when this <br />Bone Marrow and Organ Donation Leave policy is applicable to the circumstances. The <br />Utilities may require verification by a health care provider of the purpose and length of <br />each leave requested by the employee pursuant to this policy. <br />48 <br />April 2021 <br />123 <br />
