As a municipal project manager and client <br />representative, Jim encourages collaboration and utilizes team members based on their expertise to <br />produce the ideal product for the client. Jim's municipal project experience includes all phases of the <br />design through construction from feasibility reporting, property assessments, planning, permitting, <br />design documents, bidding process, and construction administration. His role in this project will be <br />to act as the liaison with the city on any issues that may arise during the project and make certain <br />that the project meets WSB's high -quality standards and more importantly, the city's expectations. <br />Street & Utility Improvement Project I St. Paul Park, MN <br />CLIEN1: CITY OF ST PAUL PARK, MN <br />PROJECT DURATION: JUNE 2018 - MAY 2020 <br />Jim acted as project manager for both the 2019 City/State-Aid funded street and utility <br />improvement projects totaling over $2.9 million. The project scope encompassed the full <br />reconstruction of deteriorating streets, utilities, and storm sewer including a half mile section <br />along 9thAvenue, which is a critical east -west collector through the City and one of the few <br />EDUCATION: crossings at the adjacent railroad corridor. The project area has significant bedrock and rock <br />Bachelor of Science in Civil excavation was necessary to install the utilities. Two new utility crossings were also constructed <br />Engineering, University of under the BNSF railroad crossing utilizing separate casing sections jacked through the bedrock. <br />Minnesota, 2002 <br />Planning for the project was conducted under the strict MN Statutes Chapter 429 special <br />assessment process and plans were completed to MnDOT State Aid standards. <br />West Shadow Lake Dr Street & utility Improvement Project I Lino Lakes, <br />MN <br />CLIENT: CITY OF LINO LAKES, MN <br />PROJECT DURATION: AUGUST 2017 - MAY 2020 <br />Jim and his team were responsible for the design, plans, specifications, and construction management <br />of a large street and utility improvement project in the City of Lino Lakes totaling more than $6.3 million. <br />The project area spanned two miles and included both rural and urban street improvements, watermain, <br />sanitary sewer, and storm sewer installations. The project area was located in close proximity to Reshanau <br />Lake and included flood control installations and other critical storm water management techniques to <br />treat runoff prior to discharge into the lake. The neighborhood also had no public utilities prior to the <br />new sewer and watermain installations; portions of the watermain were directionally drilled to avoid <br />open trenching between the lakes. The extensive changes to the neighborhood within the project area <br />required extensive coordination with the City, residents, and governing agencies. <br />City Engineer I Medina, MN <br />CLIEN 1: CITY OF MEDINA <br />PROJECT DURATION: 2017 - CURRENT <br />Jim is the City Engineer for Medina where he is responsible for delivering a wide variety of municipal <br />projects (street/utility improvements, stormwater management, well/water treatment), small and <br />large, as well as day-to-day duties working as an extension of city staff.
