rLkFIRM GR©UND <br />architecture I planning I interior design <br />We believe that the church's overall goals of improving the security and quality of community spaces <br />within the Elk River campus are congruent with the city's goals as outlined in the Comprehensive Plan. <br />The church is currently and will continue to be a place of great importance, for cultural, community, and <br />religious growth for people of all ages, and the proposed addition will only seek to reinforce its <br />important place within the community of Elk River. <br />Hours of Operation <br />The church is open for business hours from 9AM to 2PM on weekdays, and for church service <br />Wednesday nights, and Sunday mornings, with services occurring at 9 AM and 11 AM. <br />Number of Employees <br />There are 5 employees that work in the church. <br />Number of parking stalls, existing and additional <br />Existing parking stalls: 108 with 4 accessible <br />Proposed restriping adds 1 accessible space for a total of 109 with 5 accessible. <br />Is there proposed screening of the site? <br />The site as it currently exists is already well screened from surroundings, and the additions proposed to <br />the building will not necessitate additional screening. Some additional planting is proposed on the front <br />of the building to beautify the exterior especially at the addition and entry canopy. <br />Proposed building materials <br />The building addition will match the material character of the existing building as closely as possible, <br />including the continuation of the lap siding and water table stone veneer that defines the front of the <br />building currently, as well as asphalt roof shingles to match the existing. <br />Signage — (at time of installation, a separate permit is required for each sign) <br />At this time, the only alteration proposed for signage is the reuse of the Emmanuel logo placed currently <br />on the front side of the existing carriage house (to be demolished), which will be reused at the front of <br />the drive -up canopy.
