NW - Conditional Use Permit for <br />Reviewed by <br />expansion of religious institution, Case No. <br />CU 21-19 <br />Action Requested <br />Recommend, by motion, approval of the Conditional Use Permit with <br />the following conditions to satisfy the standards set forth in Section <br />30-654: <br />1. The structure will be required to connect to the sanitary system <br />located in the 190th Avenue right-of-way. <br />Background/Discussion <br />The property is zoned R1-c where religious institutions require a <br />Conditional Use Permit (CUP). The applicant is seeking a CUP to <br />construct an addition to the existing church on the subject parcel. The <br />site is 13.07 acres in size, is within the Urban Service District, and has <br />one access to and from County Road 13. <br />• <br />Hwy 1S' - <br />CR 12 <br />The applicant is proposing to expand classrooms and childcare <br />facilities, add additional gathering and community space, and increased <br />security functions, improve flow, and create a more open and <br />welcoming entry while maintaining the familiar character of the church. <br />Hours of Operation <br />The church is open for business hours from 9:00 a.m. — 2:00 p.m. on <br />weekdays, and for church service Wednesday nights, and Sunday <br />Figure I <br />mornings, with services occurring at 9:00 a.m. — 11:00 a.m. <br />Number of Employees <br />There are 5 employees that work in the church. <br />Number of parking stalls <br />With the proposed restriping of the parking lot, it will add an additional accessible space for a total of 109 with 5 <br />accessible. The main sanctuary has 256 seats, and the ordinance requires one parking space for each three seats, <br />based on the design capacity of the main seating area.
