<br />SECTION 4.0 FJLOODWAY :DISTRI-'cT (F'w) The floodway District is established for <br /> <br /> <br />areas of the flood plain which because of their location to the water <br /> <br /> <br />course and channel during flood stage, must be kept relatively free <br /> <br />of obstructions to property discharge flood waters without creating <br /> <br /> <br />additional flooding or delaying flood discharge. <br /> <br /> <br />4.1 Permitted Uses. The fallowing uses having a ~ow flood damage potential <br /> <br /> <br />and not obstructing flood flows shall be permitted within the Flooaway <br /> <br /> <br />District to the extent that they are not prohibited by any other <br /> <br /> <br />ordinance and provided they do no require structures, fill, or storage <br /> <br /> <br />of materials or equipment. In addition, no use shall adversely affect <br /> <br /> <br />the capacity of the channels or floodways of any tributary to the main <br /> <br /> <br />stream, drainage ditch, or any other drainage facilit~. or system. <br /> <br /> <br />4.11 Agricultural uses such as general farming, pasture, grazing, <br /> <br /> <br />outdoor plant nurseries, horticulture, truck farming, forestry, <br /> <br /> <br />sod farming, and wild crop harvesting. <br /> <br /> <br />4.12 Private and public recreational uses such as golf courses, tennis <br /> <br /> <br />courts, driving ranges, archery ranges, picnic LTounds, boat <br /> <br />launching ramps, swimming areas, parks, wildlife and nature <br /> <br /> <br />preserves, game farms, fish hatcheries, shooting preserves, <br /> <br /> <br />target ranges, trap and skeet ranges, hunti~g and fishing areas, <br /> <br />hiking and horseback riding trails. <br /> <br /> <br />4.13 Residential uses such as lawns, gard~ns, parking areas and <br /> <br /> <br />play areas. <br /> <br />4.2 Conditional Uses. The following open space uses which require only accessory <br /> <br /> <br />structures (temporary or permanent), or fill or storage of materials or equip- <br /> <br /> <br />ment may be permitted in the Floodway District only upon application to <br /> <br /> <br />the Zo~ing Administrator and the issuance of a special permit by the <br /> <br /> <br />Board of Adjustment as provided in Section 9.5, Conditional Use <br /> <br />Permits, of this Ordinance. These uses are also subject to the <br /> <br /> <br />provisions of Section 4.3, which applies to all floodway Conditional <br />Uses. <br />
