Planning Commission <br />October 26, 2021 <br />Page 4 <br />Jon Clauson, vice president of the Elk River Sportsman Club, Rogers, MN, <br />explained he has been in contact with the applicant and Mr. Olin, who presented at a <br />recent gun club board meeting a few days prior. He stated around thirty members <br />heard the presentation and he cannot make any statements for or against their <br />project. He stated he and Ed Church, president of the gun club, were there tonight to <br />gather information and take back to the board of directors and determine how to <br />proceed forward. <br />Sarah Hagen, 20355 Meadowvale Rd. NW, asked when the property will be <br />developed if it is approved. <br />Mr. Pullar stated they are hoping to gather bids for the road construction by spring <br />2022. <br />Ms. Hagen stated she did not have any concerns with living near a gun club and said <br />it really is not noisy. She supported the applicant and his wife proceeding with their <br />retirement plans. <br />There being no one else to speak, Chair Larson -Vito closed the public hearing. <br />Moved by Commissioner Beise and seconded by Commissioner Booth to <br />recommend approval of the request by Steve Pullar/Landform for the <br />Preliminary Plat of Pullar Prairie with the following conditions: <br />1. The driveway to Elk River Gun Club must be moved as far north as <br />possible to maximize the distance between County Road 32 and the <br />driveway. <br />2. The Elk River Gun Club must agree, in writing, to the relocation of <br />their driveway access. <br />3. The developer shall construct the relocated entrance to the Elk River <br />Gun Club and deed the Oudot containing the driveway to Elk River <br />Gun Club at no cost to the club. <br />4. Sherburne County must approve the connection to County Road 32. <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br />4.3 City of Elk River, 75-011-4 100 & 4400 <br />Preliminary Plat for Natures Edge Third Business Center, Case No. P 21-10 <br />Mr. Carlton presented the staff report. <br />Chair Larson -Vito opened the public hearing. <br />There being no one to speak, Chair Larson -Vito closed the public hearing. <br />Commissioner Rydberg asked if there was a demand for this property. <br />VN"AX <br />EIIrURE <br />
