<br />16. Dwelling, Two-Fami1Z. A detached building containing two dwelling units,
<br />designed_ for occupancy by not. more than two families.

<br />17. Dwelling, Multiple-Family. A detached building containing three or more
<br />dwelling units, with the number of families ia residence not exceeding the number
<br />of dwelling u~its- provided. Condominiums and cooperatively owned multiple
<br />residential dwellinga are multiple-family dwellings for rurposes of this Ordinance.

<br />18. Dwelling Unit. One room, or rooms connected together, constituting a separate,
<br />independent dwelling for owner occupancy, rental or lease, physically separated
<br />from any other room or dwelling unit which may be In the same structure, and
<br />containing independeQt cooking, sleeping and sanitary facilities, but not including
<br />hotels, motels, boarding or rooming houses, t'Jurist homeg, mobile homes, travel
<br />trailers or tents.

<br />19. Easement, Utility or Easement. A limite::! ownership interest in land enabling
<br />the construction and maintenance of public services and utilities thereon including,
<br />but not limited to, lJanitary se'....ers, water mains, electdcal lines, telephone lines,
<br />storm sewer or storm drainage facilities and gas lines.

<br />20. Essential Services. Overhead or underground electrical, gas, steam or water
<br />transmission or distribution systems and structures or collection, communication,
<br />supply or disposal systems and structures used by public utilities, rural electric
<br />cooperatives or governmental departments or commissions, including poles, wires,
<br />mains, drains, sewers, pipes, conduits, cables, fire alarm boxes, police call boxes,
<br />traffic signals, hydrants or other similar equipment and accessories used in
<br />conjunction therewith.

<br />21. Family. Any number of individuals generally but not necessarily related by
<br />blood and marriage, living together at one location as a single, nonprofit .
<br />housekeeping unit, a9 distinguished from a group occupying a boarding or rooming
<br />house, tourist home, hotel or motel.
<br />
<br />22. Farm Dwellings. A building designed for residential occupation by human beings
<br />located on a farm, the occupant of which owns the farm or. is employed thereon.'

<br />23. . Feedlot. A confined area used for housing or feeding poultry or livestock
<br />where substantial amounts of animal waste will be generated, but not including
<br />barns or pens which are accessory uses incidental to a farming operation. .

<br />24. . Floodplain. As defined in Section 902 of the Code.
<br />
<br />25. Floor At-ea. The sum of the gross horizontal area of. the several floors of
<br />a building measured from the exterior walls, including basements and attached
<br />accessory buildings.

<br />26. Floor Are~ Ratio or F. A. R. The numerical value obtained by diyidingthe
<br />floor area of a building, or buildings by the total size of the lot on which such
<br />building or rnJildings are located.
