In addition thereto, the following Appendices to WPC 40 are hereby adopted <br />by reference and made a part hereof as fully as though set forth in full, <br />three (3) copies of each being on file wi th the City Clerk: <br /> <br />L Appendix A: Alternative Systems. <br />ii. Appendix B: Figures. <br />iii. Appendix C: Building Sewe r . <br />iv. Appendix D: Wa ter Supply Setbacks. <br />v. Appendix E: Surface Water Se tbacks. <br /> <br />7. Tree Removal and Conservation of Vegetation. All subdivisions shall be planned, <br />designed, constructed and maintained consistent with the following, at the City's <br />discretion: <br /> <br />a. Existing healthy trees and native vegetation on the site shall be preserved <br />to the maximum extent feasible and shall be protected by adequate means during <br />construction; <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />b. Where inadequate vegetation exists on land not being disturbed for <br />development, permanent vegetation shall be established as soon as possible; <br /> <br />c. Following construction, vegetation suitable to the site shall be planted. <br />The type or species of tree planted shall be approved by the City. Trees <br />with root structures that are less likely to interfere with utility lines <br />or sidewalks, or cause other nuisance damage are preferable. Trees shall <br />have a trunk diameter (measured twelve [12] inches above ground level) of <br />not less than two (2) inches, and shall be planted in not less than one (1) <br />cubic yard of good growing soil with a suitable amount of fertilizer. Approved <br />multiple varieties shall be used alternately. Trees shall be planted at <br />intervals of at least one every sixty (60) feet; <br /> <br />d. Consistent with approved grading plans, existing trees shall be preserved <br />within any right-of-way when such trees are suitably located and in good <br />health; and <br /> <br />e. No slash, dead trees, or uprooted stumps shall remain after development. <br /> <br />8. Erosion and Sediment Control. The following guidelines shall be applied in <br />the subdivision and development of land areas, at the City's discretion: <br /> <br />a. The development shall conform to the topography and soils so as to create <br />the least potential for soil erosion; <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />b. Erosion and sediment control measures shall be coordinated with each stage <br />of development. Appropriate control measures shall be installed to control <br />erosion; <br /> <br />17. <br />
