Economic Development authority Minutes <br />September 20, 2021 <br />S. Open Forum <br />No one appeared for Open Forum. <br />6. Public Hearings <br />There were no public hearing items. <br />7.1 Public Art Initiative Update <br />Ms. Eddy presented an update on the public art initiative. <br />Certificates were presented to the following sponsors: <br />■ Central Minnesota Arts Board <br />■ The Bank of Elk River <br />■ First Bank of Elk River <br />■ Elk River Area Chamber of Commerce <br />■ Kevin Gleitz — State Farm Insurance Office <br />■ Forterra, Inc. <br />■ Granite Shores Luxury Apartments <br />■ Dave Anderson <br />■ Elk River Municipal Utilities <br />7.2 2022 Budget and Resolution Establishing EDA Tax Levy <br />Mr. O'Neil presented the staff report. <br />Page 2 <br />Moved by Commissioner Hartwig and seconded by Commissioner Westgaard <br />to approve the 2022 Economic Development Authority budget and adopt <br />resolution 21-04 establishing the Economic Development Authority tax levy of <br />$363,150 for collection in year 2022. <br />Motion carried 6-0. <br />7.3 Resolution Establishing the 2022 Referendum Tax Levy as Approved <br />by Voters for a Recreational Facility to be Leased to the YMCA. <br />Mr. O'Neil presented the staff report. <br />Moved by Commissioner Wagner and seconded by Commissioner Beyer to <br />adopt resolution 21-05 establishing the 2022 referendum tax levy as approved <br />by voters for a recreational facility to be leased to the YMCA. <br />Motion carried 6-0. <br />porEAEI I1 <br />NATURE <br />
