Goal 1: <br />Enable continuity, access, and efficient mobility on road- <br />ways for automobiles and trucks. <br />Policies: <br />• Enhance east -west connections in conjunction with the 169 Rede- <br />fine project <br />• Develop north -south connectivity to relieve congestion and create <br />better access. <br />• Make improvements to provide roadway network continuity and <br />protect residential areas as new development occurs. <br />• Coordinate with City of Elk River stakeholders and adjacent munic- <br />ipalities on roadway projects to prepare for and support future <br />growth. <br />Goal 2: <br />Support a safe and connected multi -modal transportation <br />network. <br />Policies: <br />• Implement complete streets. <br />• Enhance pedestrian and cyclist connections to key destinations. <br />• Support a network of multimodal options through coordination <br />with transit providers. <br />• Continue coordination efforts to ensure bike and pedestrian <br />mobility improvements to the Elk River Trails Master Plan. <br />
