<br />Definitions <br /> <br />Manufacturing, Light: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />All uses which include the compounding, processing, <br />packaging, treatment, or assembly of products and materials <br />provided such use will not generate offensive odors, glare, <br />smoke, dust, noise, vibrations, or other objectionable <br />influences that extend beyond the lot on which the use is <br />located. Generally, these are industries dependent upon raw <br />materials refined elsewhere. Such uses include but are <br />not limited to the following: lumber yard, machine shops, <br />products assembly, sheet metal shops, plastics, electronics, <br />general vehicle repair (repair garage), body work and <br />painting, contractors shops and storage yard, food and non- <br />alcoholic beverages, signs and displays, printing, <br />publishing, fabricated metal parts, appliances, clothing, <br />textiles, used auto parts. <br /> <br />On-sale Liquor Establishment: <br /> <br />As defined in Section 800.02, paragraph 2 of the Elk River <br />Code of Ordinances. <br /> <br />Personal Service Establishments: <br /> <br />A place where, for a fee, personal services are provided to <br />individuals on the premises. Such uses include beauty <br />parlors, tanning salons, and other personal services. <br /> <br />. Private Recreational: <br /> <br />A building, structure or open space designed as an accessory <br />recreational use to a permitted principal use. Private <br />recreational facilities include such uses as swimming pools <br />and tennis courts and are not open to the general public and <br />not operated for profit. <br /> <br />Restaurants (Class I): <br /> <br />Food served to the customer to be consumed by the customer <br />while seated on the premises. Class I restaurants are of a <br />"traditional or sit down" variety restaurant where food is <br />served to a customer at a table while seated as <br />distinguished from the "fast food or convenience" variety. <br />"Carry out" food sales are permitted if incidential to a sit <br />down restaurant. <br /> <br />Restaurants (Class II): <br /> <br />A restaurant where a majority of customers order and are <br />served their food at a counter in packages prepared to leave <br />the premises, or able to be taken to a table, counter, <br />automobile, or off the premises to be consumed; or a drive- <br />in where most customers consume their food in an automobile <br />. regardless or how it is served. <br /> <br />2. <br />
