<br />. <br /> <br />Employees Completing an Orientation Period may earn <br />vacation time on a pro rata basis, if they work a <br />minimum of 1,040 work hours a year. <br /> <br />b. Rate of Accumulation - Vacation time shall be earned <br /> based on the following consecutive years of full-time <br /> service: <br /> Length of Service Accumulation Rate <br />0-5 years 10 working days per year <br />6-7 years 14 working days per year <br />8-9 years 15 working days per year <br /> 10-11 years 16 working days per year <br /> 12-13 years 17 working days per year <br /> 14-15 years 18 working days per year <br /> 16-17 years 19 working days per year <br /> Over 17 years 20 working days per year <br /> <br />Regular Part-Time Employees who work a minimum of <br />1,040 hours per year are eligible for a pro rata <br />amount of paid vacation time according to the number <br />of hours worked per month. <br /> <br />c. <br /> <br />When Taken - Eligible employees must obtain approval <br />from their department head prior to taking vacation <br />time. Vacation time earned by Employees Completing <br />an Orientation Period shall not be available for use <br />until successful completion of the employee's initial <br />Orientation Period unless otherwise authorized by the <br />City Administrator. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />d. Accrual - Regular Full-time Employees and Regular <br />Part-time Employees may carry forward from one year <br />to the next an amount equal to the total number of <br />vacation days they were entitled to earn during the <br />previous year under the.. vacation schedule. <br /> <br />e.
