SIGN REGULA- <br />TIONS <br />SUB (4) (iii) SIGNS PERMITTE,D <br />IN COMMERCIAL <br />C-l AND C-2 ZONES <br />The City Council of the City of Elk <br />River does ordain as follows: <br />Section L That Section 900.22 (4) (c) <br />(iii) of the City of Elk River Code of <br />Ordinances titled, "Signs Permitted in <br />the Commercial C-l and C-2 zones" be <br />amended to read as follows: <br />iii. C-1 Zones: One (1) on premise <br />freestanding business sign per prem- <br />ise, not to exceed one (1) square foot in <br />sign area for each linear foot of street <br />frontage up to a maximum of sixty-four <br />(64) square feet, is permitted. Such signs <br />may not ex~d the lower of the height <br />of the roof line or a maximum of twenty <br />(20) feet. Freestanding signs shall have <br />a minimum setback often (10) feet from <br />any public right-of-way measured to <br />any portion ofthe sign, and a minimum <br />clearance of eight (8) feet over any <br />vehicular use area and any pedestrian <br />use area. <br />C-2 Zones: One (1) on premise boule- <br />vard business sign per premise, not to <br />exceed one (1) square foot in sign area <br />for each linear foot ofstreet frontage up <br />to a maximum of thirty-two (32) square <br />feet is permitted. Boulevard signs shall <br />not exceed seven (7) feet in height and <br />shall have a minimum setback of ten <br />(10) feet from any public right-of-way <br />measured to ,any portion of the sign. <br />Section 2. That this ordinance shall <br />take effect and be in full force from and <br />after the date of its publication. <br />Passed and adopted this 15th day <br />April 1991. <br />JameS A.
