Customer Average Interruption Duration Index (CAIDI) <br />CAIDI is defined as the average duration (in minutes) of an interruption experienced by <br />customers during a specific time frame. <br />Since CAIDI is a sustained interruption index, only outages lasting longer than five <br />minutes are included in the calculations. CAIDI is calculated by dividing the sum of all <br />customer minutes of interruption by the number of customers that experienced one or <br />more interruptions during that period. This metric reflects the average customer <br />experience (minutes of duration) during an outage. <br />Table 6.
