Public Hearing-Case No. ZC 05-01 (Continued from 6/20/05)

Director of Planning Michele McPherson presented the staff report. Ms. McPherson stated
the city would like to rezone certain parcels within the city for consistency between the Land
Use and Zoning maps. She discussed the parcels to be rezoned as outlined in her staff
report. Ms. McPherson stated she received a letter and a phone call from a Specht family
member who is opposed to these properties (that the Specht Family Trust owns) being
rezoned. It was unclear if the Specht family member that objected to the rezoning is a
member of the Specht family trust.

Mayor Klinzing opened the public hearing. There being no one to speak to this issue, Mayor
Klinzing closed the public hearing.

Mayor Klinzing stated the zoning should be left as it is as a courtesy to the property owners.

Councilmember Dietz questioned what the consequence would be if they went ahead and
rezoned these parcels so that they are consistent between the Land Use and Zoning maps.
