<br />1988 Compensation Plan <br />~xhibit 1 <br />Page Two <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />9. <br /> <br />All organized employees (police) will have their wages Bnd <br />benefits adjusted per Council approval of the Police Union <br />Contract and are not governed by any clauses of this <br />approved resolution. <br /> <br />10. All City employees on probation will not receive a wage <br />adjustment. Employees on probation are to receive a wage <br />adjustment at the completion of their probationary period of <br />5%, un]ess otherwise provided in their pay plan or adjusted <br />by Council action. <br /> <br />11. When the Waste Water Treatment Superintendent and the Street <br />Superintendent are on vacation for at least one continuous 8 <br />hour period, then one employee in the WWTP Department and up <br />to two employees in the Street/Parks Department will receive <br />an additional $.50 per hour for functioning as "lead contact <br />worker". This adjustment during the absence of the <br />department head is to reflect additional responsibilities <br />directing the work crew and the work program. <br /> <br />14. To encourage continuing education for City employees, the <br />City will reimburse 3/4 of the tuition fee to employees for <br />successfully completing classes directly related with their <br />position with the City. Any such class must be taken on <br />employee time and receive written approval by the City <br />Administrator before tuition reimbursement will be made. <br /> <br />15. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />It is acknowledged that the 1988 Compensation Plan is <br />approved in order to become in compliance with the <br />Comparable Worth Law and that the adjustments reflected in <br />this Exhibit and Exhibits 2 & 3 are based according to the <br />Comparable Worth Law for making internal relationship <br />comparisons and comparisons to the private market. <br />
