ERMU Commission PolicyG.4e3WaterServices <br />______________________________________________________________________________ <br />d.ERMU shall require all new developmentconstruction design to have looped water <br />mains;consistent with city ordinance, side lot easements shallbe required as needed. <br />2.Establish metering policy and procedureswhich address,but are not limited tothe following: <br />a.Customers shall be allowed oneservice entrance and one meter to measure waterusage, <br />unlessotherwise approved by the General Manager. <br />b.All equipment andmaterialsrequiredfor meteringshall be owned and maintained by <br />ERMU. The customershall be subject to all metering equipmentcosts as identified in the <br />Commission adopted FeeSchedule. <br />c.The customer shall own and be responsible for the entire water service line.Theservice <br />line shall includethe piping extending from the water main in the street, including the <br />corporation cock, to the meter within the building.The service line shall meet ERMU <br />standards. <br />3.Establish policy regarding the redistribution of water consistent with the following: <br />a.All water sold by ERMUis to be used by the customerfor the purposes designated or <br />implied in the Rate Scheduleapplicable to their installation.Waterso sold may not be <br />resold or redistributed to other metered users unless specificallyapproved by the General <br />Manager. <br />4.Establish policy and procedures forcustomer disputes: <br />a.Consistent with the Dispute Resolution CommitteeCharter Policy,provideanoptionfor <br />acustomer appeal process through the Dispute Resolution Committeefor customerissues <br />whereresolutionrequires action not authorized or delegated to management. <br />POLICYHISTORY: <br />Adopted May 12,2020 <br />______________________________________________________________________________ <br />Page 2of2 <br />150 <br />
