Unused sick leave will not be paid out in wages upon termination of employment, but in <br />some circumstances is subject to limited conversion under the Health Care Savings Plan <br />policy found elsewhere in this Handbook. <br />40. PAID HOLIDAYS <br />Regular full-time employees will be paid for eight (8) hours at their base wage rate for each <br />of the following holidays: <br />New Years DayVeterans Day <br />Martin Luther King DayThanksgiving Day <br />Presidents DayFriday following Thanksgiving Day <br />Memorial DayChristmas Eve Day <br />Independence DayChristmas Day <br />Labor Day <br />Eligible part-time employees will receive paid holidays on the same basis as regular full- <br />time employees, except that holiday pay will be pro-rated according to the number of hours <br />worked. <br />If the holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday will be observed. If the holiday <br />falls on a Sunday, the following Monday will be observed as a holiday. Employees will <br />not receive holiday pay for any holiday that falls during any leave of absence. <br />41. EMPLOYEE CLOTHING <br />It is required that employees wear clothing items specified by the Utilities for their position <br />and activity during working time. <br />Forregular field workers potentially exposed to electric hazards, the Utilities will provide <br />an initial issue of five fire retardant long sleeved shirts, five fire retardant pants, and five <br />fire retardant tee shirts per outside employee exposed to electric hazards. A second set of <br />five fire retardant long sleeved shirts, five fire retardant pants, and five fire retardant tee <br />shirts will be issued after the probationary period. As an alternative option, one fire <br />retardant hooded fleece may be substituted for two fire retardant long-sleeved shirts and/or <br />one sweatshirt may be substituted for two long-sleeved shirts. Field Supervisors may <br />substitute logoed fire retardant dress shirts for fire retardant uniform shirts. Provided <br />climbing boots, summer work boots, rubber boots, <br />rubber overshoes, insulated winter boots, and coveralls (used for maintenance on trucks). <br />The Utilities will issue a check to the supplier for the covered items. For Commissioners <br />and employees other thanregular field workers, the Utilities will provide a $75 annual <br />allowance for Utilities logo clothing. <br />39 <br />January 2020 <br />196 <br />
