Traffic and noise impacts related to the expansion were also discussed. The applicant noted that the hours of <br />operation will be the same as the existing use, and they do not expect that there will be any additional noise. The <br />applicant also noted that employees will begin using the two northern entrances, and truck traffic will use the <br />driveways along the west side of the site. ERMU does not anticipate significant traffic increases but that <br />additional deliveries are expected as they will have more storage space on site. <br />During the public hearing, a resident asked the city to look at further setbacks and screening to mitigate the <br />traffic, noise, and lights to the neighboring homes. <br />Since the Planning Commission meeting, a second resident shared some questions and concerns. The building <br />exterior is very industrial and is not compatible with the homes that surround it. The landscape buffer will need to <br />be carefully designed and installed to protect the integrity of the residential nature of the neighborhood.
