Colleen Eddy Elk River Public Arts Committee <br />Printed On: 15 October 2020 FY21 Project Grant Rnd1 9 <br />Other Key Personnel* <br />List the names of those involved in organizing/carrying out the proposal and describe their roles and <br />responsibilities. Include a short bio explaining relevant skills and experience. <br />Sharon Tracy <br />Sharon Tracy, now retired, taught Honors English and Humanities at Coon Rapids High School for 21 <br />years. She served as the Executive Director for the Elk River Area Arts Alliance for 4 years, and served on the <br />Central Minnesota Arts Board and the Minnesota Citizens for the Arts Board of Directors. She has also sat on <br />grant review panels for both the Minnesota State Art Board and the Central Minnesota Arts Board. She was a <br />member of the Elk River Public Art Subcommittee in Decmeber, 2014 as well as serving on the current one. <br />She is Vice President of the Sherburne County Master Gardeners and enjoys oil painting. <br />Ann McCormick <br />Ann is a retired teacher and school administrator. Ann Austin McCormick lives with her husband in Elk <br />River. A Master Gardener and past president of Sherburne County Master Gardeners, she believes that <br />community service helps make a community strong. She has chaired and been a member of local committees. <br />As a member of the Public Arts Subcommittee she hopes to contribute to making Elk River a sought after <br />community in which to live and work. She believes that beauty in an environment enhances lives. <br />Copyright and other Permissions* <br />If any part of the proposal involves presenting or using material (including advertising) that is protected under <br />copyright, describe how the permissions will be obtained and include the costs in the budget. <br />The Milligan Studio expressly reserves every right available to him/her in common law or under the <br />Federal Copyright Act to control the making and dissemination of copies or reproductions of the Work, except <br />as those rights are limited by the Agreement. All reproductions of the Work shall contain a credit to the <br />Consultant and copyright notice substantially in the following form: “Copyright, Consultant’s name, year of <br />publication,” in such a manner and location as shall comply with the U.S. Copyright laws. <br />Timeline* <br />Describe the timeline for all proposed activities. Include planning, performances, assessment, etc <br />Timeline: <br />1) Research Elk River, its history and its people <br />2) Site visit (Took place June 1) <br />3) Created model and drawings based on the idea of community as diverse fish in a slipstream. <br />Incorporated solar light collaboration, as we were impressed with the innovations of the community in that <br />area and felt we could learn from working with these civic leaders. <br />4) A series of site visits will be scheduled to meet stakeholders and managers of project and talk through <br />expectations. October 2020 <br />5) Create community event and host it. This generates publicity and allows the engagement of the city in <br />the process November 2020 <br />6) Build Project web page with photos, plans, etc. October/November 2020 <br />7) Begin build. Should take about 6 weeks beginning in December <br />8) Install in Spring with Celebration.
