Resolution. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Whereas: there have been numerous complaints received by the Committee on Civic Affaire of <br /> the Elk River Commercial Club regarding the rates and service extended by the Elk <br /> River Power and Light Company; <br /> <br />Whereas: there have been numerous heavy users of electricity contemplating the construction <br /> of their own private plants, which would be detrimental to the welfare of the <br /> community as a whole; <br /> <br /> Therefore be it resolved, that the Elk River Commercial Club recommend to the <br /> Village Council of the ability of constructing a Municipal plant, own their own <br /> transmission system or any other plan which will produce lower rates and better <br /> service. <br /> <br /> This resolution has been unanimously adapted by the committee and is hereby <br /> offered to the Club for it’s consideration. <br /> <br />Dated April 16, 1942 Signed: Roland Ellison <br /> Chairman Civic Affairs <br /> <br /> Committee. <br /> <br /> M.C.
