I strongly disagree with the meeting going forward tonight
without the ability for all concerned to voice their opinions in person. Personally, my business has
been closed for 7 weeks because of everything that is happening. The city should understand these
are unusual times. I think the right solution now would be to postpone the meeting until there is
adequate representation at the public hearing for all concerned. Our world has been put on hold.
The city of Elk River should understand that and make accommodations just like everyone else has.
It’s not business as usual and until it is the public hearing should be postponed.
I would like to know if there are going to be representatives from Common Bond and Hemple at the
meeting? I did get a chance to look at the plans and there are several issues I have regarding the
layout, parking, and parking lot outlets. Especially the one outlet that moves traffic right through my
parking lot. That will be a big problem. Of course there are many other issues, but that is why I
want to be at the meeting in person to be heard. I’m not trying to be difficult, but I feel as a citizen
of Elk River and business owner I should have the right to be heard.
Sincerely,
Gary Tonsager
Pearle Vision Elk River
