Note: data discrepancies <br />between segment values and totals exist due to data suppression for confidentiality. <br />According to the 2013-2017 American Community Survey five-year estimates, the median household <br />income in Sherburne County was s83,895, compared to a Minnesota average of s65,699. The median <br />household income in Sherburne County increased by 17% since the 2006-2010 estimates. The percent <br />of the county's population living below the poverty level was 6.4%, compared to a 10.5% average for <br />the state of Minnesota. <br />3.8 Critical Infrastructure <br />Critical infrastructures are among the most important assets of a community. While the purpose of <br />these infrastructures differ in nature, their continued operations are integral to the health, safety, <br />economic and cultural well-being of the residents of Sherburne County. <br />Critical infrastructures have been identified based on FEMA guidelines (FEMA, 2013) as well as input <br />from Sherburne County. Critical infrastructures have been classified into the following groups: <br />emergency and shelter facilities; infrastructure systems; high potential loss structures; and significant <br />county assets. Forthe complete list of critical infrastructures in Sherburne County, see Appendix B. <br />3.8.s Emergency & Shelter Facilities <br />Emergency and shelter facilities are vital to the health and welfare of entire populations, providing <br />services and functions essential to communities, especially during and after a disaster (FEMA). <br />Emergency and shelter facilities include healthcare facilities, emergency services, evacuation <br />centers/shelters, and schools (which are often used as evacuation centers/shelters). <br />Figure A - 4, Figure A - 5 and Figure A - 6 display the locations of the emergency and shelter facilities <br />within Sherburne County. <br />Healthcare Facilities <br />Sherburne County is serviced by one hospital, Fairview Northland Regional Hospital, as well as a <br />number of nursing homes, hospices, and dialysis centers located all across the county. Located in <br />Princeton, MN, Fairview Northland has 64 hospital beds and provides a comprehensive array of <br />healthcare services for communities northwest of the Twin Cities including heart care, cancer care, <br />childbirth, orthopedics, pediatrics and many more.
