Other actions are specific to the natural hazards <br />addressed in Section 4.3, Hazard Profiles. xNote: For the purpose of grouping related natural hazards, <br />"Summer Storms" encompasses Tornadoes, Windstorms, Lighting and Hail and "Winter Storms" <br />encompasses Blizzards and Ice Storms (see Section 4-3). <br />Column C — Mitigation Strategy <br />Each mitigation action is identified by one of the following five mitigation strategies. <br />• Local Planning and Regulations <br />• Structure and Infrastructure Projects <br />• Natural Systems Protection <br />• Education and Awareness Programs <br />• Mitigation Preparedness and Response Support <br />See Section 5.3 and Table 34 for a description of each mitigation strategy and related types of actions. <br />Column D — Mitigation Action <br />Each mitigation action provides a concise, action -oriented description of the action or project to be <br />undertaken. <br />Column E — Reduces Risk to New / Existing Buildings or Infrastructure <br />Each mitigation action identifies if the activity reduces risk to new or existing buildings and <br />infrastructure. This element of the chart ensuresjurisdictions include consideration of actions that <br />address the built environment. <br />Column F — Status <br />Each mitigation action identifies the status of implementation. Status categories include: <br />• New — New actions that have been identified since the last plan. <br />• Ongoing —Actions from the last plan that require continuing application. <br />• In Progress — Actions from the last plan that are currently being acted upon. <br />Mitigation actions that have been completed or deleted from the 203.3 Sherburne County Multi Hazard <br />Mitigation Plan are identified and reported on in Appendix H. Completed and deleted mitigation <br />actions are not carried over into the updated mitigation action chart. <br />Column G — Priority <br />Each mitigation action identifies the jurisdiction's priority ranking for implementation of the action.
