We have worked together for 25 years and have <br />completed 7 one level, association maintained communities. <br />The purpose of my email is to inform the City of Elk River of what my experience has been helping <br />people transition to this type of lifestyle. The common conclusion from the potential buyer, is the Ilk of <br />available housing. I would also like to point out that the age group is getting younger as well. We don't <br />only see the retired population, but people in their early 50's. The desire to have a low maintenance <br />lifestyle is becoming more prevalent, along with a one level home to ensure longevity to their housing <br />requirements. People are living longer and want to stay in their homes as long as possible. <br />I have been amazed at how quickly we sold the homes in Tall Pines. We already have a list of buyers <br />and real estate agents waiting for information on Tall Pines 11. We would all appreciate the approval to <br />move forward with this community. The parcel is in an excellent location for residential housing. I would <br />encourage City Council to drive through the communities Roger Derrick has created in our city.
