We have worked together for 25 years and have completed 7 one level, association maintained communities. The purpose of my email is to inform the City of Elk River of what my experience has been helping people transition to this type of lifestyle. The common conclusion from the potential buyer, is the Ilk of available housing. I would also like to point out that the age group is getting younger as well. We don't only see the retired population, but people in their early 50's. The desire to have a low maintenance lifestyle is becoming more prevalent, along with a one level home to ensure longevity to their housing requirements. People are living longer and want to stay in their homes as long as possible. I have been amazed at how quickly we sold the homes in Tall Pines. We already have a list of buyers and real estate agents waiting for information on Tall Pines 11. We would all appreciate the approval to move forward with this community. The parcel is in an excellent location for residential housing. I would encourage City Council to drive through the communities Roger Derrick has created in our city.
