Sustainability. As a firm, BKV Group has made a commitment to educate and mentor members of its staff with
the goal of developing professionals who understand and value the impact that sustainable design can achieve.
Having all disciplines in one office has supported this integrated approach and process. While many of our
professionals are LEED accredited, we treat each project with common sense approaches, developing sound
options to achieve our clients’ sustainability goals, and review with them enhanced options and their associated
cost and paybacks.
Team & Community Engagement. A large part of our project success is our collaboration and involvement of the
client team as well as the community. We have found that projects best support the community and departments’
needs when there is involvement and input by all stakeholders. We have a number of approaches to involve all first
responders, the city administration and council, as well as the community as a whole.
I will be the lead architect and main point of contact for the project providing coordination among the team
and with the city throughout the entire process. In addition to my experience in public safety projects I also bring
understanding and leadership gained through over 39 years in the profession.
The BKV Group team is committed to providing high-quality services to help the City of Elk River develop functional,
practical, and durable public safety facilities that will serve the departments and the community well.
If there is any additional information or clarification that you and/or the committee would like to know, please do
not hesitate to contact me at 612.790.7605.
Thank you for your consideration, and we look forward to talking to you soon.
Sincerely,
BKV Group
Bruce Schwartzman, AIA
Lead Architect
222 N 2nd Street, Suite 101 | Minneapolis, MN 55401 | 612.339.3752 | www.bkvgroup.com
