<br />A motion was made by Myer and seconded by Bergerson to set the date for the bearing on sewer
<br />extensions into Area Co, Feb 1, 1960. Carried.

<br />Motion by Bergerson and seconded by Meyer to sell bonds for the sewer treatment plant amount to
<br />$105,000.00 on Feb 1, 1960. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />Motion by Meyer and second by Bergerson to authorize Mayor and Clerk to sign agreement with
<br />Great Northern Railway to trench under track for water line. Carried.

<br />Member Bergerson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:

<br />RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE AND SALE OF $105,000 SEWAGE
<br />TREATMENT PLANT BONDS
<br />
<br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Elk River, Minnesota, as follows:
<br />
<br />1. This Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in
<br />paragraph 2 hereof for the purpose of opening and considering sealed bids for and awarding
<br />the sale of $105,000 Sewage Treatment Plant Bonds of the Village authorized by the voters
<br />at an election held on October 6, 1959. It is hereby determined to be necessary to sell and
<br />issue at this time only $105,000 of the total authorized amount of $110,000
<br />2. The Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of time, place and purpose of
<br />said meeting to be published at least ten days in advance of the time of said meeting in the
<br />Sherburne County Star News, a legal newspaper having general circulation in the village, and
<br />in Finance & Commerce and Commercial West, periodicals published in Minneapolis,
<br />Minnesota, giving financial news and of general circulation throughout the State, which
<br />notices shall be in substantially the following form:

<br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Elk River, Sherburne
<br />County, Minnesota, will meet at the Municipal Building in the Village of Elk River, on February 1,
<br />1960, at 8:00 o’clock P.M., for the purpose of opening and considering sealed bids for, and awarding
<br />the sale of, $105,000 negotiable coupon general obligation Sewage Treatment Plant Bonds of said
<br />Village. Said bonds will be dated January 1, 1960, and will be in the denomination of $1,000 each,
<br />will bear interest at the rate or rates to be designated by the successful bidder, payable on July 1,
<br />1960, and semiannually thereafter on January 1 and July 1 of each year and will mature serially on
<br />January 1 in the amount of $5,000 in each of the years 1963 through 1977 and $10,000 in each of the
<br />years 1978 through 1980, those bonds maturing after January 1, 1973, being each subject to
<br />redemption at the option of the Village on said date and any interest payment date thereafter, in
<br />inverse order of serial numbers, at par and accrued interest. The award of sale, the printed and
<br />executed bonds and th unqualified approving legal opinion of Messrs. Dorsey, Owen, Barber,
<br />Marquart & Windhorst, of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Delivery will be made without cost to the
