<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />March 24, 1941 <br /> <br />The clerk presented the plans and specifications for the laying of sewers in Sewer District No. 1, <br />which had been filed with him by Toltz King and Day and same were carefully considered by the <br />Council. <br /> <br />Thereupon Trustee Frank Nickerson introduced the following: <br /> <br />Resolution <br />A Resolution approving plans and specifications for the laying of sewers in Sewer District No. 1 and <br />directing Clerk to advertise for hire <br />Whereas, Toltz, King and Day, Engineers, have prepared and filed plans and specifications for work <br />to be done as a part of a W.P.A. project. <br />Now, therefore, be it resolved by the village council of the village of Elk River, Minnesota as <br />follows: <br />(1) That the plans and specifications heretofore prepared for the construction of sewers in <br />Sewer District No. 1 by Toltz, King and Day, Consulting Engineers, pursuant to previous <br />direction of this council be and the same are hereby approved and adopted as the plans and <br />specifications in accordance with which such sewers shall be laid, subject to such changes as <br />this Council may from time to time deem necessary or expedient. <br />(2) That the clerk be and he herby is authorized and directed to advertise for bids for the <br />materials and equipment to be furnished by the village as its portion of such W.P.A. project <br />by publishing notice of calls for bids and in each for three successive weeks in the official <br />newspaper of the Village and in the Improvement Bulletin a legal trade journal published in <br />the City of Minneapolis, Minnesota, such bids to be received and considered by the Council <br />st <br />at a meeting which is hereby called to be held on the 21 day of April, 1941, at 2 o’clock <br />P.M. at the Municipal Building in said Village. <br /> <br />Adopted by the village Council Mar. 24, 1941 <br />Attest: J Clinton Walker <br />Village Clerk <br />M.C. Tesch <br />Pres <br /> <br />Trustee G.A. Bailey seconded the motion to adopt said resolution and upon roll call it was adopted <br />by the following vote: <br />Ayes: E.L. Shadick, Frank Nickerson, G.A. Bailey, J. Clinton Walker, M.C. Tesch <br />Nayes: None <br /> <br />The Council carefully considered the report of Toltz, King and Day on the proposed sewers for the <br />village of Elk River and the Council carefully studied the report. <br /> <br />After the council had carefully considered the report and fully advised itself in the premises, Trustee <br />E.L.
