NERC – North American Electric Reliability Corporation – A not-for-profit <br />international regulatory authority whose mission is to assure the effective and <br />efficient reduction of risks to the reliability and security of the grid. NERC develops <br />and enforces Reliability Standards; annually assesses seasonal and long‐term <br />reliability; monitors the bulk power system through system awareness; and <br />educates, trains, and certifies industry personnel. NERC is the electric reliability <br />organization for North America, subject to oversight by the Federal Energy <br />Regulatory Commission. <br /> <br />67. NISC – National Information Solutions Cooperative – An information technology (IT) <br />company that develops and supports software and hardware solutions for their <br />member-owners who are primarily utility cooperatives and telecommunications <br />companies across the nation. Provides advanced, integrated IT solutions for <br />consumer and subscriber billing, accounting, engineering & operations, as well as <br />many other leading-edge IT solutions. ERMU became a member in 2015. <br /> <br />68. NMPA – Northern Municipal Power Agency – A not-for-profit joint action agency <br />established in 1976, NMPA is the energy supplier for 12 municipal utilities in eastern <br />North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota. <br /> <br />69. NRECA – National Rural Electric Cooperative Association – A national service <br />organization that represents the interests of electric cooperatives, public power <br />districts, and public utility districts in the United States. <br /> <br /> <br />70. NSP – Northern State Power Company - A regulated investor-owned electric and natural <br />gas utility holding company based in Minneapolis, Minnesota that is now a subsidiary of Xcel <br />Energy. <br /> <br />O <br /> <br />71.
